I am delighted to report the above news! I found out last week, but I have been so busy with various and sundry things including some out of town travel that I simply did not have the time or the chance to gather my thoughts sufficiently to post a proper blog.
As you all know my relationship with Blizzard has been an excellent one. ARTHAS was their first hardcover novel (and only my second), and their first book to hit the NYT list. I am delighted almost as much for them as for me. Almost!
And more good news…looks like it will be #23 on the May 17 list as well!
Thank you Mr. Lich King sir!
Congrats! You’re now the one person Mr. Lich King has been kind enough to help out
Thank your lucky star-…er, runes!
Gz ! That’s so nice ! And well deserved tbh. Arthas was such a awesome book. Just so sad the story about Arthas and Jaina ends in WoTLK ;( Or perhaps not xD if Blizzard goes with a redemption ending
could be cool, then you could let Arthas lead the campaign again Sargeras in a future patch, I mean, he was the creater of the Burning Legion and the reason Arthas was corrupted in the first place
Then you could write a novel about how Arthas (and Jaina perhaps) go to another world where Sargeras rule and then you can read about their story together. The events leading up to the next expansion pack
Would be a excellent new way to bring Kul Tiras in aswell and let him rule that city or something.
Anyways just some thoughts I had. Thanks for the nice book and Gz on the good news !
King Regards – Aoussar.
oops, I mean against* Sargeras in a future patch/expansion.
And Write* about about their story together.
hehe grammer lol xD
Congrats Christie! This is a great achievement, and I hope this is just one of many more in the future. They’re certainly well deserved; you put so much effort, thought and care into your work. I hope you keep up the great work for much, much longer; I’m always looking forward to your next works of fiction.
Christie Golden’s story lines for World of Warcraft are absolutely amazing!
I have almost every WoW book from multiple of writers, but I have only finished three.
Rise of the Horde, Lord of the Clans, and Beyond the Dark Portal
They were simply awesome! I can’t wait to read Arthas! I am going to purchase the Box – Autographed set!
I am anticipating on another thrilling story!
Congrats on the NYT list. I just finished the book myself and absolutely loved it.
I work for Borders and have to tell you we actually just put Arthas on one of our Father’s day book recommendation displays.
Great work Christie!
I have most (I think) of your Warcraft works, and they are very, very good.
I’m not really a fan of hardcover (physically too big for my taste), so I’m going to wait till Arthas comes out in paperback. But its certainly one I’m going to pick up.
Keep up the great work!
